1. Placing Orders ?

• How can I place order?
You may follow the steps below:
press the "buy/sell" button
select buy/sell and choose the order type if necessary
input the stock code, price and quantity
choose the expiry date of the order
fill in the trading password and submit

• What kind of orders can I place?
Your password for logging in your electronic trading account. The initial password is assigned by CASH Group and you may change after your first login session.

• Are these special order features applicable to all stocks?
These features are applicable to selected stocks. Please refer to this list.

• What does it mean if I choose to place an order at market open?
If you check the "market open" box, your order will be sent to market after 09:30a.m. even if the order is placed before 09:30a.m.

• How can I change orders?
You may follow the steps below:
press the change button
click the order number of the order that you would like to change
fill in the order information, trading password and submit

• How can I cancel orders?
You may follow the steps below:
press the cancel button
check the box of the order that you would like to cancel
fill in the trading password and submit
Will the full amount be deducted from my account instantly when my order is executed?
In order to provide you higher flexibility, there is a deposit ratio for each individual stock. By the time the order is executed, only the deposit will be deducted instantly from your trading limit and the remaining balance will be deducted on day T+2.

• Placing Orders - Glossary
Stop loss sell order
When stock price drops to the designated "Touch Price", stop loss sell order will be sent to the market at the "Order Price".
Example:
Current stock price is $110, if client sets up a stop loss sell order, which "Order Price" and "Touch Price" are "$99.5" and "$100" respectively.
When nominal price of the stock drops to $100, sell order will be sent to market at $99.5.

Stop gain sell order
When stock price goes up and reaches the designated "Touch Price", stop gain sell order will be sent to the market at the "Order Price".
Example:
Current stock price is $90, if client sets up a stop gain sell order, which "Order Price" and "Touch Price" are "$99.5" and "$100" respectively.
When nominal price of the stock goes up and reaches $100, sell order will be sent to market at $99.5.

Target price buy order
When stock price goes up and reach the designated "Touch Price", target price buy order will be sent to the market at the "Order Price".
Example:
Current stock price is $90, if client sets up a target price buy order, which "Order Price" and "Touch Price" are "$100" and "$99.5" respectively.
When nominal price of the stock goes up and reaches $99.5, buy order will be sent to market at $100.

Limit price buy order
When stock price drops to the designated "Touch Price", limit price buy order will be sent to the market at the "Order Price".
Example:
Current stock price is $110, if clients sets up a limit price buy order, which "Order Price" and "Touch Price" are "$100" and "$99.5" respectively.
When nominal price of the stock drops to $99.5, buy order will be sent to market at $100.

Touch Price
When this market price of the stock hits this touch price, the order will be sent to the Stock Exchange for matching.

Good till date
The expiry date of the order set. You can set the expiry date up to the coming 4th Friday from today.

Deposit Ratio
The ratio of deposit to be deducted from the trading limit by the time order is placed. This ratio varies for each individual stock. Please refer to this list.

Stock Value Ratio
The ratio of individual stock is to calculate the value of stock balance under your portfolio. Such value can then be added to the trading limit to enable you higher flexibility.

Trading Limit
Trading limit is the maximum nominal value that you can use to buy stocks. This limit is calculated based on the cash balance and the value of the stock counted under the stock value ratio in your portfolio.

Fill and Kill (FAK)
A Fill and Kill (FAK) order means that the order is to be matched immediately after submission, as much as possible, up to quantity specified in the Qty field and the remaining unmatched portion, if any, of the order will be cancelled automatically by the system at once.

Fill or Kill (FOK)
A Fill-or-Kill (FOK) order is to be matched immediately after submission at the exact quantity specified in the Qty field or else it will be totally cancelled automatically by the system at once. A Fill-or-kill order will be executed only if the order is a market order.

Auction Order (AO)
An Auction Order is a market order without a specified price. It enjoys a higher auction matching priority than an auction limit order (9:00am - 9:15am). It will be cancelled automatically after order matching.

Market Order
A Market Order is an order to buy or sell a stock at the market price. You do not need to set a limit price and the order will be executed at best available market price at time of execution.
("Market Order" can only be used with "Market Open", "FAK" and "FOK" orders simultaneously.) Note:

The final execution price of your Market Order may differ from the nominal price at the time of order placement, especially for illiquid stocks and/or at the beginning of a trading session due to orders accumulated that need to be handled.
Your Market Order can only be valid for one day.
Upon submission of a Market Order, you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions and understood and accepted all of the features and constraints of this service.
CSL in its best effort will try to process a Market Order to obtain the best execution on behalf of our client. Due to fluctuation in stock price, insufficient market liquidity, system failure and any event beyond the control of CSL, the order maybe fully, partially or not executed.
Manual Order
Manual Order is different from other automatic orders. This buy/sell manual order will be saved at CASH trading system once submission. The order will not be sent to the market.

2.Order Status

• Would the record be updated automatically when the order status is changed?
The record will be updated automatically for every 1 minute or you may click 「efresh」 to have instant update.

• How can I use the "Grouping" function to organize the transaction status?
The grouping function enables you to follow the record of order that has ever been changed. You may choose to display or hide the grouping.

• How long are the order status records kept?
The order records are kept up to the previous trading date. Please refer to the monthly statement in case you would obtain records of executed orders.

• What is the acceptable order price when I place orders?
Acceptable order price for buy / sell orders of the market under general market condition:-
Lower Limit for Buy Orders : Not lower than 24 spreads below the current bid price
Upper Limit for Buy Orders : Not higher than 10% of nominal price
Upper Limit for Sell Orders : Not higher than 24 spreads above the current ask price
Lower Limit for Sell Orders : Not lower than 10% of normal price

• What happen to the remaining unexecuted order quantity if my order is only partially filled by end of a trading day?
A new order with the unexecuted quantity will be sent to market daily starting from the next trading day until
expiry date; or
the order is completely filled; or
the order is changed or cancelled

• When can I change or cancel the partially filled orders?
You may change or cancel the partially filled orders anytime during stock exchange trading hours or after 8:00p.m.of the trading day.

• Anything I need to pay attention before I place a good-till-date order?
From the moment that a good-till-date order is set up until expiry, client has to ensure that there are sufficient funds / trading limit / stocks in the account, and when there is no outstanding margin call or debit balance. Otherwise the order will be automatically cancelled.

Sending
The order that is being sent to the Stock Exchange.

Queuing
The order that is sent to the Stock Exchange and is already queuing up on the bid / ask queue.

Executed
The order that is executed partially or completely at the Stock Exchange.

Rejected
The order that is rejected due to various reason such as invalid price entered, etc.
Watching
The order that is pending to be sent to market until the market price of the stock reaches the touch price of the order.

3.Cash and Stock Balance?

• Can I withdraw the cash or stock in my updated balance?
No, you can only withdraw the amount of cash or stock from the available balance, which is the actual amount that is in your account after T+2 settlement.

• When can the cheque balance be used?
For cheque balance can be used only when the cheque is cleared, i.e. usually after 4:00p.m. of the next trading day after the cheque is deposited.

• How much interest do I have for the fund I hold in my securities trading account?
You may receive interest if your deposit is over HK$50,000. The interest rate is the same as HSBC's saving rate.

• Cash and Stock Balance - Glossary
Updated cash balance
The net cash balance that is calculated based on your cash deposit and up-to-date executed transactions at day T.

Available cash balance
The net cash balance that is calculated based on your cash deposit and the transactions that are settled on day T+2.

Interest
The up-to-date interest that you are entitled to receive by end of current month.

Cheque
The balance that you deposited by cheque and pended for clearing. Once the cheque is cleared, the balance will be added to your available balance.

Updated stock balance
The net stock balance that is calculated based on your stock deposit and up to date executed transactions at day T.

Held stock balance
Upon sending an sell order / stock withdrawal notice, the amount of stock will be held from the updated stock balance in order to make sure no short selling of stock is allowed.
Withdraw balance
Upon sending the fund withdrawal or transfer instruction through their trading platform, the fund will be displayed in "Withdraw balance" and deducted from "Updated cash balance" and "Available cash balance" immediately. If client submit the fund withdrawal or transfer by the other means, it will not be shown in the trading platform.

4.Trading Limit and Settlement?

• How can the trading limit and deposit ratio provide me flexibility on investment? In order to provide you higher flexibility, a trading limit will be granted to you. This limit is counted based on your cash balance and the value of your stock holdings calculated according to their individual stock value ratio. Also, only a deposit will be deducted on the transaction date for certain stocks. Please refer to this list for stock value ratio and deposit ratio. • Trading Limit and Settlement - Glossary Trading limit The trading limited for you to buy stocks, which is counted based on your cash balance and the value of your stock holdings calculated according to their individual stock value ratio. Deposit held The amount deducted from the trading limit upon buying of stocks. Call deposit Call Deposit is the amount that you need to settle within one working day (24 hours) upon the issue of ''Deposit Call''. All or part of your stocks may be forced to sell out if the amount is not deposited. T+1 Settle The net amount of cash to be settled on day T+1. T+2 Settle The net amount of cash to be settled on day T+2. Today deposit The cash amount to be deposited today in order to settle the transaction executed two trading days before.

5. Price Alert ?

• How much do I need to pay if I choose to use the Price Alert service?

• How can I set price alert?
You can click the Price Alert button, then select New Alert. Fill in the information such as stock code, alert price, language, phone number and expiry date and submit. You can then monitor the price alert status on the trading platform.
• How many price alerts I can set at the same time?
You can set up to 10 active price alerts at the same time.

6. Margin Ratio ?

• How can margin financing enhance my flexibility on investment?
Upon opening a margin account, you are eligible to use your stocks as collateral by paying interest in order to obtain higher trading limit. The value of stocks is calculated according to the margin ratio set under our risk and credit control policy.
• Which stocks are available for margin financing?
