The U.S stock market is the largest capital market in the world with its high market liquidity, strict regulations and less sensitive of stock prices. The major stock exchanges include New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), American Stock Exchange (AMEX) and National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation (NASDAQ). Particularly, trading volume of NYSE that is the highest among all stock equity markets accounted for 70% - 80% of the total stock exchanges in the U.S. and it is also the biggest stock exchanges among securities market.
The U.S stock market has the three major indices, which include Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), Standard & Poor's 500 (S&P 500) and NASDAQ Composite (IXIC), which are regarded as indicators of the market performance.DJIA contains 30 bellwether companies in various industries, S&P 500 which is more than 500 stocks had been referred; and IXIC reflect all the companies that listed on NASDAQ.
